It's Time to Get Your Scared On!

It's close to Halloween and that means one thing: it's time for fear. If you're spending this scary time of year in North East, Pennsylvania, and looking for something to send shivers down your neck, you happen to be in luck!

Take a haunted carriage ride around downtown Erie, located within a half an hour’s driving distance from us at Grape Arbor Bed & Breakfast, October 28-30. Perhaps you’d prefer a night tour of the Watson-Curtze Mansion (reputed to be haunted)? More information on the haunted carriage rides and the Watson Curtze Mansion can be found at www.eriecountyhistory.org.

Parapsychologist Captain Bob Grossman, an expert in local legends and ghost stories, leads the Eerie Bayfront Ghost Walks Wednesday through Saturday evenings. Grossman offers hikers over 60 verified stories of the paranormal, and in the past members of the Ghost Walks have experienced actual sightings! Visit the Ghost Walk's website at www.eerieerie.com for more details.

If something less intense is what you’re looking for, Mercyhurst College of North East is holding a lecture “Beyond Ghost and Goblins” on October 27th at Mercyhurt’s Alex Theatre. During the lecture, area author Elizabeth Rose Way introduces her new book And I Will Love You from Heaven, and discuses those who have gone before us. For more information, please visit northeast.mercyhurst.edu.

Stay at Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast October 25 – 31 and receive a 10% discount as you explore all the strange and scary things the area has to offer!
