I can't believe that the summer is almost over!  I have been very busy, and it has been suggested that, since I have not been diligent about keeping up the blog, that I assume it to someone else.  More on that later.

What has been keeping me busy most recently is the renovation on our Merlot Suite.  Those of you who have stayed there remember that the Merlot Suite is the one with the full sized kitchen.  It became apparent a few years ago that most folks staying here are more interested in relaxing and enjoying themselves, and aren't really interested in cooking a meal.

So the kitchen is being removed, and a well-appointed parlor will take its place.  You will have the advantage of a full-sized refrigerator and microwave tucked away in a closet in the space, as well as a coffee maker, but you will be able to stretch out and watch TV.   We did find the most interesting pink and grey flowered wallpaper underneath those kitchen cabinets....but I will keep you updated.  Everything should be done by September 13th!

So who is it that wants to make contributions to the blog?   You guessed it!  Sweeney is sure that he can do a way better job of informing you of interesting things going on at the inn than I can.  I am not so sure about that; but I guess there is no harm in trying!
